Updated Launch Command: In order to accommodate the following upgrade, a new launch command is now required. To install and run the test release version of Groomer's Tool V.12.01, please follow the steps outlined in the installation document provided below:

Here's what's in this version:

Dockable/Collapsible UI: The Groomer's Tool UI can now be docked as a collapsible tab on either the left or right side of your Maya scene.

Support for Multiple Collections in Scene on Multiple XGen Utility Tools:

FEATURE: XGen Utility Tools now support multiple XGen collections within a scene.
Tools updated with this implementation include: Guide Color, Guide Cut, Guide To Curves, Multi-Clump Bake, XGen Ptex Tool, Iff shortcuts Tool, Spline transfer, IG To Curves.

XGen Custom Shader Parameter Tool:

FEATURE: New XGen Custom Shader Parameter Tool now replaces the old "XGen Remove Attribute Tool."
Users can now also copy and create custom shader parameters.Demo - XGen Shading Parameter Tool

XGen Blendshape:

FEATURE: Added an option to disregard growth meshes for blending. This feature is useful for users who don't have an extracted scalp/growth mesh.
UPDATE: Included a clear button for easy removal of a mesh from a slot.
UPDATE: Implemented a security layer check for topology and selection type before blending occurs.Demo - XGen Blendshape Tool

XGen Guide Color:

FEATURE: Added a quick select button to easily select "all current description guides." This aids users in previewing guides without mistakenly selecting guides from other descriptions.

PaintFX Tool:

FEATURE: Added automatic conversion to Maya curves functionality.

Curve Add Tool:

FEATURE: Now allows setting custom CV counts for adding straight curves (Middle mouse click) The default CV count is 4.

XGen Palette/Description Rename Tool:

FIX: Shaders will now remain assigned to the XGen node after renaming.

Deep Backup:

FIX: Proper detection of the existence of the 3dPaintTexture folder when rolling back to a previous version.

Curve Reverse:

FIX: Auto filter option no longer requires freeze transformation.

Repository Call for UI Launch:

Users now have the option to place Groomer's Tool's xgtc folder anywhere and launch it with an additional path added in their Maya environment variables. This change allows for compatibility with shared networks (e.g., repository path) and provides flexibility for organizing 3rd party scripts in a custom folder.

Backend Addition at Launch:

Certain tools rely on the Maya Working Unit being set to 'centimeters.' Upon launching, a warning message will appear if the current Maya session is set to a different metric.
Additionally, Groomer's Tool will automatically enable the following 3 plugins (if not already enabled by default) to ensure the usability of certain tools: fbxmaya, objexport, curveWarp.
